Our Events
About Us
Our Service Club organization has been in operation in Greater Moncton since 2001, and nationally since 1922. Our Club mission, through the eyes of a child we serve to build a stronger community, is more than just another tagline, it is our guiding principle. We don’t just raise and distribute funds; we often get involved and invest sweat-equity with our charity partners. Whether it is charitable donations, helping a family going through a crisis situation, swinging a hammer or painting a fence at a local charity, we are driven to help children do what’s important for them: grow up healthy, have fun and live life to the fullest. The activities we undertake and the causes we support always focus on improving the lives of young people and their families in our local community. We are proud to say that 100% of all the funds we raise stay local. In our support for children and families we take a unique approach from other important organizations in the community. For example, rather than buy medical equipment for our hospitals, we focus on the small things that often get overlooked, like toys, games and family room furnishings that make a difficult time more bearable for the sick children and their families. We keep many Christmas trees for needy families from being bare on Christmas morning by sending out food, stockings and presents. We buy renovation materials and provide the labour to help some of our local charities keep from falling apart.
Community Partners
We maintain relationships with local charities that are aligned with our mission. We are proud to donate the funds we generate at our events each year to supporting these amazing community partners as well as directly to families in need.
Canadian Progress Club
“It’s Great To Be a Canadian/Soyons Fiers d’être Canadien” is the motto of the Canadian Progress Club, an all-Canadian service club having no international affiliations. Membership and its privileges are open equally to everyone.
Progress members seek the advancement of the communities in which their individual clubs are located. Progress is entirely Canadian in concept and development. Each local club conducts its own affairs and its own charitable projects.
There is no classification system within the Club. Progressians are people from all walks of life who enjoy hands-on involvement in charitable activities. In particular, members are proud of their contributions in the area of under-privileged children, and of helping to foster the cause of people with intellectual and physical disabilities through service to the community. In doing so they meet new friends and have fun!
In addition to their commitments to local communities, on a national level, Canadian Progress Clubs proudly support Canadian Special Olympics through the Canadian Progress Charitable Foundation.
